I was too busy stress eating to get much of anything done last week, so here's hoping this week results in more productivity than just shoveling Doritos and Oreos into my pie hole. (Everybody else mow through a month's supply of food in a week? No? Yeah, me neither.)

I was a tad on edge for the last 7 days, I'll admit mostly selfishly due to the tumbleweeds currently blowing around my shop, but one of the highlights of the week was definitely getting Eisley's Room Noises in the mail. The original pressing is pretty damn hard to come by, and since I doubt I will ever be somebody who plops down $100ish for an LP, I had zero hopes of ever adding this one to my collection. But thanks to randomly seeing an Instagram comment that mentioned a gold repressing, I now own it!

I feel like the early 2000s were majorly influential in how my music tastes developed into what they are today, and I have lots of fond Eisley-related memories from that period. Discovering the band on MySpace, finding the Marvelous Things EP at Best Buy, creating an Amazon account so I could get my hands on the Laughing City EP, anxiously waiting for this LP's release date to arrive... Now if Music on Vinyl can just get Combinations on vinyl for the first time...
